Practice Integration Coaching
Completing a hands-on course is one thing — introducing a new surgical service into your own practice is another. This coaching program gives you a calm, experienced guide for exactly that transition.

Service description
A structured three-session coaching program for dentists who have completed one of our hands-on courses and want support as they begin offering those services in their own practice. Each session is conducted via video call and focuses on real cases the participant is planning or has recently completed. The coach reviews treatment plans, discusses technique choices, and helps the dentist build confidence through guided reflection — not criticism.
What the coaching program is
Practice Integration Coaching is a structured three-session program conducted over three months via video call. It is designed for dentists who have completed one of our hands-on courses and are ready to begin offering those services in their own clinic, but want support as they do.
Each session focuses on real cases you are planning or have recently completed. Your coach reviews treatment plans, discusses technique choices, and helps you think through decisions — not by telling you what to do, but by asking the right questions and offering perspective grounded in clinical experience. The tone is mentorship, not evaluation.
Who this program is for
This program is for dentists who have the foundational technique from a hands-on course and now face the practical reality of applying it in their own environment — with their own patients, their own team, and their own equipment. That transition can feel uncertain even when the training itself went well.
Coaching is not a substitute for hands-on training. It works best when you already have the core skill and need a thinking partner to help you build confidence, refine your case selection, and develop the judgment that comes with guided clinical reflection. If you have not yet attended a hands-on course, that is the right place to start.
How each session works
Each session is held via video call at a time that suits your schedule. Before a procedure, your coach will review your treatment plan and radiographs and discuss your approach — giving you a chance to think through the case before you are in the chair. After a procedure, the session shifts to debrief: what went well, what you would do differently, and how to document your work.
Between sessions, email support is available with responses within two business days. After every call, you receive a written summary of what was discussed, so you have a clear record of your progress and the decisions you made along the way.
Flexibility built into the program
The standard program runs over three months, but the pace is yours to set. If you are not ready to begin cases after the first session, that is completely fine — the program window can be extended to six months at no extra charge. There is no pressure to move faster than your confidence allows.
For practices where two dentists want to participate together, a shared two-person program is available that includes four sessions. The standard three-session program is designed for one dentist, but the team is happy to discuss what format makes most sense for your situation before you commit to anything.
What is included in the program fee
The program fee covers three one-on-one video coaching sessions, pre-procedure treatment plan and radiograph review, post-procedure debrief and documentation guidance, and written summaries emailed after each call. Guidance on referral criteria — helping you develop a clear sense of when to treat in-house versus when to refer — is also woven into the sessions as relevant cases arise.
Alumni of any Garvey course are eligible for a reduced rate on the three-session program. A single add-on session is also available for dentists who have completed the program and want occasional ongoing support as their practice grows into new procedures.
Why Garvey Oral Surgery for this kind of support
Garvey Oral Surgery was founded by oral surgeons and periodontists who believed that continuing education should feel like mentorship. That philosophy does not stop at the end of a workshop. The same calm, unhurried approach that shapes our hands-on courses carries through into the coaching program.
Your coach is not there to judge your cases or measure you against a standard. They are there to help you think clearly, build genuine confidence, and develop the clinical judgment that makes a new service sustainable in your practice over the long term. Every question is worth asking, and every concern is worth discussing — that is the environment we work to create.

Frequently asked questions
Does the coaching replace attending a hands-on course?
No. Coaching is designed as a follow-on to hands-on training, not a substitute. The sessions are most valuable when you already have the foundational technique and need support applying it in your own clinical environment.
What if I am not yet ready to start cases after the first session?
That is completely fine. We work at your pace. If you need more time between sessions, we can extend the program window to 6 months at no extra charge.
Can two dentists from the same practice share a coaching program?
The program is designed for one dentist. If two dentists from the same practice want to participate together, we offer a two-person shared program for $1,800, which includes 4 sessions.
